Isabela State University–Cauayan City Campus (ISU-CCC) Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) graduating students received training from the Department of Tourism (DOT) for Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE), a benchmark to make Filipinos one of the most hospitable people in the world, at the Food Laboratory, September 19.
“You will use this kapag nagtatrabaho na kayo sa industry,” Lanny-Lee F. Ordoñez, Program Chair of BSTM said, as she encouraged the fourth year students to embrace the learnings on the event.
The seminar and training workshop, Filipino Brand Service Excellence, aimed to capacitate 100,000 tourism workforce and push through training high-skilled frontliners in the industry of tourism.
“We just need to be recognized to be one step prouder as Filipinos. Because our goal is to make our uniqueness, our core values as Filipino, be the unique brand in terms of service,” Resource Speaker, Joan M. Nebrida, Regional FBSE Trainer highlighted.
Moreover, Nebrida herself, elaborated in an in-depth discussion, topics which encompass Service Excellence and 7Ms of Filipino Values, Delivering Excellent Service and Using the GUEST Technique, and The Heart of Service Recovery.
Such seminars and training workshops are known as avenues for strengthening the tourism industry, particularly for students who are encouraged to enrich an excellent service infused with Filipino core values at par with international standards.
