Encouraging connections between students and campus and university officials, the Supreme Student Council Federation (SSCF), together with the Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus, organized “ISU-Connect: The Student Caravan” at the Campus Amphitheater, October 22.

During the event, student-leaders from seven colleges got reminded of the importance of maintaining open lines of communication with their peers and campus officials.

“Sabi nga nila, this is an opportune time for you to voice out—’wag niyo na kaming bangitin. Let us be open, we are just one voice,” Dr. Marisol Foronda, Campus Director of Academic Affairs, emphasized on behalf of Executive Officer Dr. Precila Delima.

SSCF Student Regent Lex Cedric Aquino outlined the rationale behind this week-long caravan, noting that real change occurs when students actively share their experiences and ideas to improve academic life.

In order to help visualize their efforts, SSC President and SSCF Campus Coordinator Jord Gante and Aquino each presented the accomplishments, reports, and updates of the SSC and Student Regent respectively, offering transparency in their programs and operations.

The event also featured an open dialogue between campus and university officials and student-leaders, granting students the opportunity to speak up on concerns such as scholarship merits, financial support, gender equality, student health, and updates on the school uniform and student handbook, among other matters.

The  SSCF is committed to addressing these concerns, reaffirming their dedication to enhancing the overall academic experience across the ISU system.
