The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) awarded the Isabela State University-Cauayan City Campus (ISU-CCC), Dr. Betchie E. Aguinaldo, Director of Business Intelligence Research & Development Center (BIRD-C) and Project Lead, DOST ISU Smart City Technology Business Incubator (DISC – TBI), and Dr. Precila C. Delima, Executive Officer, for their noteworthy contributions across Region 2 during the Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week (RSTIW) 2023, held at Robinsons Tuguegarao, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, November 14.
DOST acknowledged ISU-CCC as a key collaborator of DOST Region 2 in the promotion and implementation of various Science and Technology (S&T) programs and initiatives, resulting in an increased adaptation of S&T technologies in the region in line with the eventโs theme of Siyensya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan.
Aguinaldo received recognition as a prime mover in making cities, municipalities, and provinces future-ready through synergistic and collaborative efforts by utilizing technological innovations from the research and development outputs of State Colleges and Universities, including Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Research and Development (R&D) centers.
Both Delima and Aguinaldo acquired an award in Women in Science, Engineering, and Research (WISER) for their outstanding dedication, leadership, and expertise in advancing the field of R&D in the region witnessed by Regional Director, Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera.
The event also awarded various individuals who contributed to pushing forward scientific progress and technological innovations, among others, in the region.
